 Hey, cute family! I am having a blast looking back at these photos from our quick and chilly November mini session. These kids. If you haven't met them before, let me do the honor of introducing you to some of the most passionate children you have ever met. They are caring and kind, and give you every ounce of energy they can compose. They have hearts for the Lord, each one of them, and devote everything they have to telling you every story of imagination, food, creation, and friendship. They read books, they play games, they are sporty, and they're fun! This couple lived in Chicago for a few years at Moody Bible College, and now are in Bemidji building relationships with Native Americans, stretching them and challenging them in a walk with the Lord. We serve with these guys at Oak Hills Center for Indian Ministries. What  blessing to photograph a sweet sweet family like these guys.

Kaya Wedding Part Two: White | Itasca State Park, Mississippi River Photographer, Bemidji MN

 Remember these lovely newlyweds? They were married in September and had their formal portraits taken at Itasca State Park. The leaves were perfectly golden, the grass still green, the roads cluttered with fallen leaves, while the trees stood firm. It was a cold and misty day, but it was beautiful, nonetheless.

Mr. & Mrs. Kaya were fun to work with, and got more and more comfortable in front of the lens as the hours passed. I am so grateful to have shot this wedding. It was just stunning to see the lovely hand-made bridal head piece that Christina wore. She was the most stunning bride with the long ribbons, pearls, and lace cascading down her back. They trailed over buttons from her dress and stood out in their soft peachy highlights against her delicate dress.

Kaya Wedding | Itasca State Park, Park Rapids, Bemidji MN Wedding Photographer

WOWZAS.
 I had the awesome priviledge of phtoographing Zosim & Christina's wedding photos. It was a cold and dreary day with drizzles and almost-snow.

We took the pictures at Itasca State Park, and it was the perfect location! Christina had a couple outfits to wear, and the hot pink one really stood out against the fall colors. The white dress, with the Bridal Party's accents of peach were a great subtle mix, too.

P. Family Portraits | Nevis, MN On the Lake Family Photographer

Although it is hard to believe, we are now in the holiday season, already getting ready to say, "Merry Christmas!" I can't understand, for the life of me, where time goes. It moves beyond catching up with. Add in children, and you can't blink fast enough, right?

Well, anyway, I am so glad to have started some great family sessions this Fall. Thinking ahead is SO important! This family had their session at their home, in Nevis... On the Lake! How wonderful! The colors were rich, and they did an excellent job coordinating their outfits!

Debbie | Personal Mini Session, Bemidji MN Portrait Photographer

Here's Debbie! This lovely lady is a wife, mom, professor, and nature lover! She and her family live on the most beautiful property out in the country. They have chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, horses... and flowers. The home is central to gorgeous flower beds and gardens everywhere. What an outstanding homestead!

She made a promise to herself many years ago, that, after her modeling career, she would have professional pictures taken every ten years. Well, she finally did it! And let me tell you: she still has certainly not lost any modeling talent! Debbie was so fun and fabulous to work with. She is beautiful inside and out.

I have this one set of grandparents, their two kids & families, and two of those families' kids are seniors... what a great great great session of sessions! This was an incredible family to work with and I can't wait to share more photos with you all.

Hi,

I know this looks like it is a late post, but I wanted to share how thankful I am for Christmas time. No matter that the 25th has come and gone.  I love the anticipation of receiving updates from cherished folks all around the world. We LOVE getting your letters and cards, so keep them coming!!! I love taking family photos in a crazy-busy Oct-December months when you're jam-packing everything in ;) I LOVE IT.

I love getting to be with family.
I love seeing old & new friends.
I love eating too much everyday for days on end.
I love engorging myself with memories of "the good ol' days" when I was a kid.
I love the time of Advent.
I LOVE CELEBRATING CHRIST's BIRTHDAY. What a joy!

I Thank God for this savior who came down to Earth to bless us with everlasting life, and freedom from sin! If you don't know Jesus as your LORD and SAVIOR, and want to know how you can find peace, joy, and mercy in your life, email me or call me! Talk to someone who believes! Grab a Bible and read it!  A good place to start is Luke chapter 2: a telling of the Christmas Story!!!
